REFUND & RETURN POLICY
We want every collector and customer to have a clear understanding of our return, refund, and cancellation policies before making a purchase.
Please review the applicable policy below before placing your order.
ORIGINAL ARTWORK
Due to the unique, one-of-one nature of original artwork, all sales of original artwork are final, except where otherwise required by applicable law or where an item arrives materially damaged or an incorrect item is received.
Original artwork is not eligible for returns or exchanges based on change of mind, preference, size, color variation, framing expectations, or other subjective considerations.
We make reasonable efforts to accurately photograph and describe each artwork. However, colors, textures, surface details, scale, and other physical characteristics may appear differently in person than they do on a digital screen.
Please review all photographs, dimensions, medium information, and artwork descriptions carefully before purchasing.

LIMITED-EDITION FINE ART PRINTS
Unless otherwise stated on the applicable product page, limited-edition, signed, numbered, embossed, personalized, or otherwise artist-finished prints are final sale.
Because these works may contain hand-applied signatures, numbering, embossing, markings, or other artist-created elements, minor variations between individual editions are expected and do not constitute defects.
This final-sale policy does not apply where an item arrives materially damaged, an incorrect item is received, or applicable law provides otherwise.
APPAREL, ACCESSORIES & OTHER MERCHANDISE
Eligible merchandise may be returned within 14 calendar days of delivery.
To qualify for a return, merchandise must be:
- Unworn and unused
- Unwashed
- Unaltered
- In its original condition
- Returned with original tags and protective packaging, where applicable
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
Items returned with signs of wear, washing, alteration, damage caused after delivery, odors, stains, missing tags, or missing components may not qualify for a refund.
Items specifically identified as Final Sale are not eligible for return or exchange except where required by applicable law.
PRE-ORDERS
Products specifically identified as Final Sale at the time a pre-order is placed cannot be canceled, returned, or refunded except where required by applicable law or where the item arrives materially damaged or incorrect.
Please review the product description, estimated fulfillment information, sizing, and other details carefully before placing a pre-order.
COMMISSIONS & CUSTOM WORK
Commissioned artwork, personalized products, custom artwork, and made-to-order items are final sale unless otherwise provided in a separate written agreement or required by applicable law.
Commission projects may also be governed by a separate commission agreement establishing deposits, cancellations, revisions, payment schedules, delivery, and other project-specific terms.
DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ORDERS
Please inspect your order promptly after delivery.
If your artwork or merchandise arrives materially damaged or you receive an incorrect item, contact us through alejandromendiola.com as soon as reasonably possible.
Please include:
- Your order number
- Your name
- Photographs of the item
- Photographs of the shipping packaging
- Photographs clearly showing the damage or issue
- A brief description of what occurred
Please retain all original packaging while your claim is being reviewed.
We may request additional photographs or information to assist with the claim.
If we determine that an eligible item arrived materially damaged or incorrect, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the order, which may include replacement, repair, exchange, store credit, or refund where appropriate.
Because original artwork is unique, replacement of an original artwork may not be possible.
SHIPPING DAMAGE
Do not discard the shipping box, protective materials, or other packaging if an artwork arrives damaged.
These materials may be necessary to document damage and pursue a claim with the shipping carrier.
Damage caused after successful delivery, including damage resulting from improper handling, storage, installation, framing, cleaning, environmental exposure, or misuse, is not considered shipping damage.
RETURN SHIPPING
For approved discretionary merchandise returns, customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return results from our error, the item arrived materially damaged, or applicable law requires otherwise.
Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable for discretionary returns except where required by applicable law.
We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service for approved returns.
Do not return an item until return instructions have been provided.
REFUNDS
Once an approved return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the status of the refund.
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.
Financial institutions and payment providers may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.
CANCELLATIONS
If you contact us shortly after placing an eligible order, we may be able to cancel it before fulfillment begins. Cancellation is not guaranteed.
Orders that have already entered production, been personalized, been fulfilled, or shipped generally cannot be canceled.
Different cancellation rules may apply to original artwork, limited editions, pre-orders, commissions, and products identified as final sale.
LOST OR MISSING PACKAGES
If tracking indicates that an order has been lost or if a package does not arrive within a reasonable period after its expected delivery, please contact us through alejandromendiola.com.
We will review the available tracking information and, where appropriate, work with the shipping carrier to investigate.
Claims remain subject to carrier procedures and applicable law.
COLOR, SIZE & APPEARANCE
We make reasonable efforts to accurately represent our artwork and products online.
Actual colors, textures, dimensions, print characteristics, and other details may vary slightly because of lighting, photography, screen settings, materials, production methods, and the handmade nature of certain products.
Reasonable variations of this kind do not necessarily constitute damage or a product defect.
CONSUMER RIGHTS
Nothing in this Refund & Return Policy is intended to waive or limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable consumer protection laws.
Where applicable law provides greater rights than this policy, applicable law will control.
